Duke's is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead safe, productive, and high-quality field operations across multiple projects, crews, and field work locations. In this hands-on leadership role, you will translate project plans into daily priorities, develop field leaders, remove obstacles to production, and help ensure every job meets our safety, quality, customer, and operating standards. This position is based out of our Plymouth, MI regional office. This is a primarily field-based position requiring regular travel between active project locations. The role includes exposure to construction sites, municipal infrastructure, traffic, operating equipment, confined-space environments, variable weather, temperature extremes, humidity, and noise. Occasional evenings, weekends, overtime, and emergency-response work may be required. The position regularly involves standing, walking, climbing, communicating, inspecting operations, and operating company vehicles, with occasional lifting and carrying of equipment, supplies, or materials. Champion safety:
Maintain a visible field and active presence, conduct safety observations, reinforce Stop-Work Authority, verify crews are trained and equipped, and support incident reviews and corrective actions Lead field execution: Turn project plans into clear daily and weekly priorities, coordinate crews and work locations, monitor production, and adjust resources to meet schedule, budget, and customer commitments Develop field teams: Direct Foremen and Crew Leads, support recruiting and onboarding, coach performance, address issues, and build the next generation of field leaders Drive quality and productivity: Inspect work, confirm procedures and specifications are followed, correct deficiencies, and promote consistent execution of company standards Coordinate resources: Plan labor, equipment, materials, vehicles, tools, and field technology needs while partnering with support teams to reduce downtime Support customers and reporting: Represent Duke's professionally with customers, inspectors, municipalities, contractors, and other stakeholders; resolve routine field issues and maintain accurate operational documentation Perform other duties as assigned.

Will abide by all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE for your safety Are at least 21 years of age Have experience in the underground infrastructure (water/wastewater/stormwater, utilities, CCTV & Cleaning, SSES, rehab and lining), required Have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required. Have experience with GIS systems or other field technology experience, preferred Have a valid driver's license or a CDL A or B, preferred. In the state of Michigan, a valid chauffer's license is required at minimum. Have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible field leadership experience, including three (3) years supervising crews, foremen, or field personnel Have demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects, crews, work locations, and operational resources at the same time Have working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, safe work practices, and jobsite hazard controls Have strong communication, coaching, planning, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills Can read maps, plans, work instructions, production reports, and project requirements Are technically proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, mobile applications such as tablets and laptops, and operational reporting systems (ERPs) Are willing to undergo a background check, MVR check, and pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen Are willing to travel by car and air, in and out of state depending on project location, with occasional weekend work required as needed. Flexibility will be required. Travel is initially expected to be 25% of the time, but may increase to 50%. Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and within confined spaces (i.e., manhole), often involving kneeling, crawling, and physical maneuvering Can perform all job responsibilities in environments that may include sewage, strong odors, noise, humidity, and extreme temperatures Are willing and able to safely use fall protection gear, gas monitors, ventilation systems, and full PPE including boots, safety vest, hard hat, gloves, and eye/ear protection
Compensation:
