We are looking for a hands-on manager who can lead teams, support customers, maintain service quality, and manage multiple locations. This position is a strong fit for an experienced Area Manager, Operations Manager, Janitorial Manager, Cleaning Supervisor, Custodial Manager, or Facilities Manager . Service Area This position supports customer accounts in: Grand Rapids Zeeland Grand Haven Muskegon Surrounding West Michigan communities Schedule Full-time, salaried position Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:30 AM Evening shift Weekend on-call rotation Regular travel between customer locations What You'll Do As an Area Manager, you will oversee daily cleaning operations across multiple commercial accounts. You will work directly with employees and customers to keep each location staffed, safe, and operating to company standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and supervise janitorial and custodial employees at multiple locations. Make sure scheduled commercial cleaning services are completed correctly and on time. Visit customer sites to perform inspections and quality control checks. Train new employees and coach team members on safety, cleaning procedures, and productivity. Build employee schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels. Monitor labor hours and adjust staffing when needed. Handle employee coaching, performance concerns, and disciplinary matters. Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Track service quality, employee turnover, and operational performance. Follow OSHA requirements and all Clean Team Inc. safety and workplace policies. Travel throughout West Michigan to support assigned accounts and employees. What We're Looking For Successful candidates should have: At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience . Experience in janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, facilities management, or another service-based industry is preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Good judgment and problem-solving abilities. The ability to manage several locations and priorities at the same time. A hands-on approach to employee and customer support. A valid driver's license.
