The Associate Director, Coding provides strategic and operational leadership across coding functions, managing multiple teams including managers and senior-level professionals. This role is responsible for driving performance, ensuring coding quality and compliance, and leading end-to-end coding operations at a functional or market level.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and manage teams of managers, supervisors, and/or senior individual contributors Own and execute end-to-end coding processes across assigned business areas Develop and implement functional strategies, operational plans, and production priorities Identify and resolve complex coding, operational, and organizational challenges Drive performance, productivity, and quality outcomes across coding operations Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support business and customer needs Influence decision-making that impacts entire functions, markets, or customer accounts Ensure alignment to organizational goals, compliance requirements, and coding standards You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

Experience leading managers and/or supervisors Experience in medical coding, coding operations, or clinical documentation Ability to lead multi-layered teams and large-scale operations Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in coding quality, risk adjustment, or CDI Experience in large, matrixed healthcare organizations

The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
