Job Description

Job Overview:
Waldoch Crafts is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our truck/van assembly lines, oversee daily operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who can motivate teams, solve mechanical challenges, and continuously improve production processes in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will be driven, positive and collaborative.
Duties:
Oversee daily operations of the truck/van production and assembly line to ensure production goals, safety standards, and quality expectations are met. Provide hands-on leadership and troubleshooting support for mechanical and assembly challenges within the truck production process. Lead and support a team of production technicians and assemblers to maintain efficiency, productivity, and quality standards. Coordinate workflow and schedules for production staff. Collaborate with engineering and design teams on new products and manufacturing processes. Work closely with the quality control team to maintain high manufacturing standards. Monitor production metrics and job times to identify opportunities for improvement. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Review employee timecards and assist with scheduling and time-off requests. Support a positive, team-focused production environment. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing or production environment. 3+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experience preferred. Previous manufacturing experience in a similar industry required. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Professional automotive experience preferred. Ability to analyze production data and drive process improvements. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools, vehicle components, or mechanical systems preferred. Experience in vehicle, truck, van, or automotive manufacturing is a plus. Experience with SolidWorks is considered an asset. Self-motivated with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
