Job Description
We are looking for experienced Operations Supervisors, based in Kansas City, to plan, direct and coordinate the 3PL operations at a Data Center. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the DP World team!
Departments Currently Seeking Operations Supervisors:
- Inventory
- RMA•Builds•Dock About the Role How you will contribute•Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
- Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
- Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
- Liaise with materials department to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material.
- Other duties as assigned. Your Key Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required
- 1 Year experience supervising or leading in a Data Center, Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
- 3 Years experience in a Data Center, Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience and or training regarding the Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.
- Intermediate computer operating skills in programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Quality systems knowledge
- to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
- Adaptable
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced enrvionement and work flexible schedules.
Physical Requirements Clothing PPE:
Ability to wear personal protective gear (which may include, but is not limited to, composite toe shoes, gloves, headwear, face masks, hearing protection, fall protection, high visibility clothing, and/or safety glasses)Communication:
Effectively in person andvia radio or other electronic means.Dexterity:
Use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.Lifting:
Lifting and or carrying objects up to 50 pounds.Pushing or Pulling:

Will need to stand for long periods of time, such as when packing items, or walk long distances, such as when picking items from different locationsStanding:
