Join Access Arts as our full-time Director of Youth Programs and Operations. Are you a detail-oriented person with excellent customer service skills who enjoys working as part of a team? Apply today and help us grow programs that inspire young artists! As the Director of Youth Programs, you will help build something special. This part of your role averages 15 to 20 of your 40 hours per week—ramping up to full-time during our vibrant summer season. Outside of summer camps, you'll work with our executive director to keep the operations side of Access Arts running smoothly.
Desired Qualifications:
Teaching experience in a school, camp, or related setting is required College degree strongly preferred; art or education degree, or two years of related work experience Experience with community arts and crafts programs Experience working with students with adaptive needs Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences Strong organizational and decision-making skills Flexible schedule and ability to be available during youth programs, including evening and weekends Experience with Google Suite High energy, enthusiastic person who is patient and adaptable Excellent administrative and time-management skills, including attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Experience composing routine business correspondence; thorough proofreading skills Ability to learn new software, such as Givebutter CRM, Sawyer registration software, and Hostinger web builder
Responsibilities:
Staff management, including hiring, scheduling, and supervising hourly youth staff Classroom management and teaching, including Benton Art Club Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Saturday morning Art Club. Administrative duties, including parent communication, program promotion, and record-keeping Managing flow of phone calls, voicemails, and email correspondence, ensuring prompt, professional, and accurate responses to maintain clear communication with our students, donors, and vendors
Compensation:
$34,000 to $38,000, commensurate with experience Use of Access Arts studios and equipment for personal art-making Free enrollment for immediate family members in Access Arts camps and classes when seats are available Opportunities for professional development, exhibition, and collaboration with other arts professionals Ten days paid vacation annually after the first 90 days of employment, nine paid holidays, and generous paid time off for various kinds of leave, including parental, bereavement, and COVID School of Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
