Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at our metal fabrication facility. This role is responsible for coordinating the process of bringing in new equipment, quality control, developing and maintaining SOPs and work instructions, production scheduling, and materials, shipping, and logistics management. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and process development experience across NC machining, braking, shearing, secondary operations, and spot welding, and takes ownership of operations with minimal supervision. Pay Range is based on experience.

Responsibilities Quality:

Develop and ensure quality control standards are met and maintained in all areas of the operation.

SOP Development:

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all production processes.

Work Instructions:

Develop work instructions and ensure they are followed consistently on the shop floor.

Programming:

Learn to program NC equipment to support process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Process Development:

Develop and oversee all production processes, including NC machines, braking, shearing, secondary operations, and spot welding.

Process Improvement:

Evaluate processes once they are in production and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Production Scheduling:

Develop and manage the production schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.

Shipping, Receiving & Logistics:

Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics activities to ensure timely flow of materials and finished goods.

Materials Management:

Oversee materials management and inventory to support uninterrupted production. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production management, or a related supervisory role, preferably in metal fabrication. Demonstrated experience with production scheduling and materials/inventory management. Strong understanding of quality control principles, experience developing SOPs, and work instructions. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand sheet metal fabrication processes (NC machining, braking, shearing, secondary operations, welding). Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production/ERP systems. Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset. Reliable attendance and ability to work full-time, day-shift hours, with flexibility as production demands require.
