Job Description

About the Role Our company seeks energetic and team-oriented leaders to administer and manage operational resources while ensuring compliance with the company's objectives, guaranteeing the satisfaction of its team members and customers in its Blue Springs, Mississippi location. Operations Managers, exempt level employees, are expected to be on site before the arrival of team members, and after production is completed for the day, to ensure proper coverage is provided. Currently we have two (2) positions available, one for 1st shift and one for 2nd shift. Both shifts incur frequent overtime of 30 minutes to an hour on a daily basis. In addition, each team incurs at least one additional workday per month. Team Member shift hours as follows: 1st, 6:15am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday 2nd, 6:15pm to 5:30am, Monday through Thursday Roles and Responsibilities Safety Promote the company's safety culture to avoid accidents that may affect the well-being of our work team Ensure compliance with the Safety rules and policies of your entire work team Ensure the development and implementation of countermeasures to prevent incidents Leadership & Workforce Management Ensure that all your team members are qualified for the different activities they perform within the company Ensure that team members follow the operation standards to meet the targets established by the company Review results on a weekly basis with staff to develop strategies for eliminating problems Develop strategies to ensure compliance with the company's Hoshin objectives Ensure that your work teams have all the human and material resources necessary for the development of a good operation Keep control of the operation's HC to manage the necessary resources with HR Operations Planning of operations Hoshin Compliance with annual Hoshin activities Control, management and analysis of KPIs to understand the conditions of the areas Hold periodic meetings with your team to review KPIs and take action if necessary Ensure that your areas are maintained in 4S+S (Strategy development, implementation and audit (4S+S board)) Development of strategies to ensure the quality of our operation Development of a quality culture of team members to ensure the elimination of defects Generate with your team supervision strategies of the quality to assure the results desired by the organization (Hoshin) Carry out strategies to eliminate accidents and defects (TBP or PDCA) Attend to, correct and teach how to attack the abnormalities of your processes Ensure operation start-ups, complying with the absenteeism and turnover objectives established Equipment Management Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance of equipment and tools to avoid unnecessary expenses Prevent damage to equipment and materials by carrying out follow-up strategies to standards or observations (BBO's) Manage resources adequately for the care of PPE, Stationery, layout tapes, damage to parts or to EM Team Members Overall review of team members timecards on a weekly basis Develop cost reduction plans with your work team and control overtime Implement strategies to reduce turnover Develop strategies to reduce absenteeism Train your leaders in the management of FMDS, carry it out and audit it to ensure compliance with the established metrics Develop your work team in the necessary leadership and supervision skills (TL, GL and AM) Promote the growth of your staff by looking for continuous improvement alternatives (Kaizen activities) Innovation and development of the team to improve day by day Process Improvement Continued evaluation of layout and flow of materials to propose and work with the customer on making improvements to develop a proper working environment for team members to eliminate risks and scrap Develop shutdown plans with your work team to ensure safe shutdowns and startups Review, analysis and correct execution of process or method change points (MOC's or PCR's) Develop effective investigations and presentations to share with the team and with the customer Customer Experience Ensure effective communication with the floor team members, support areas and customers Ensure a close relationship with the customer to be able to detect their needs and ensure fulfilment of their expectations Hold periodic meetings with the customer to review results Hold follow-up meetings of activities with company staff to ensure the development strategies of the action plans Skills and Competencies Service oriented Continuous learning Working under pressure Teamwork and Positive Leadership Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with associates and external customers at all levels Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with follow-up and follow through Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently Ability to drive process improvement and lead change Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility for running the operation with a sense of urgency Strong written/oral communication including the ability to present in front of others, and demonstrate active listening skills are required Minimum Qualifications 5 years' functional experience in Management of groups of +100 members, strategy designs, problem analysis, positive employee relations High School degree or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree, preferred Proficiency with computers Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete employment application, submit to a background check (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
