Catering Coordinator - Crowne Plaza Asheville Hulsing Hotels/ Earth Fare / Accucare Asheville, NC Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Catering/Reservations Coordinator is an administrative role within the Crowne Plaza Hotel Sales & Catering Department. S/he reports to both the Director of Catering and Convention Services and the Director of Sales. While this is primarily a support role for the Department, the Catering Coordinator is also the first point of contact for clients. Duties include a range of clerical and reception skills, with some cash handling/billing, as needed. Duties include but are not limited to:
Reception:
screen and direct telephone calls; take and distribute leads to the Sales/Catering managers Provide a warm welcome for clients and on-property contacts Create and route new contracts, amendments, and supporting documents for sales and catering managers Attend weekly departmental meetings Create, change, organize, and distribute BEOs Print collateral for Front Desk/Reservations Dept. Create, print, and distribute signs for groups and events Create and print collateral, menus, flyers, and food labels for Restaurant/Kitchen Distribute various forms and updates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Submit Medallia surveys to groups Generate and distribute weekly and end of month reports
Billing:
Post charges, payments, and deposits for groups as needed Monitor and manage responses on all communication channels Effectively explain the features, benefits, capabilities, and limitations of the Resorts activities/recreation, food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities, hospitality and services, in order to assist with client inquiries. Accurate input of Reservations into system. Return calls left on our voice messaging system. Must be comfortable reaching out to guests with declined payment methods for reservations where advance payment is required. Process third party reservations. Pre-assign incoming groups as necessary. Check that PM accounts for upcoming groups are checked in. Route group charges to PM accounts. Charge guest deposits and no-show charges as necessary. Monitor hotel room availability and inventory of group reservations. Other tasks as needed by the

Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity is necessary for computer input and strong verbal and written skills required for effective communication. Incumbent must be capable of driving and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain sitting for 60% of the shift and work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold) and noise levels. High School Diploma Hospitality Experience Preferred
