Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking an Operations Section Manager to join our team in Boone, NC . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Operations Section Manager , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Manage the Projects Operations Cell as the Chief of Operations. Run daily activities of the cell, which include but are not limited to: maintaining the common operational picture, tracking daily and future activities of active responses, facilitating senior leader decisions, and resolving operational issues as they arise. Administer the daily and weekly meeting rhythm to facilitate senior leader and cross-departmental awareness of ongoing disaster responses and emerging disasters and to assess readiness for future responses. Hire and manage Incident Management Team (IMT) Specialists. Prepare them with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to assume Operations Cell roles and other responsibilities as directed. Develop curriculum for DART Operations Officer training course and serve as the lead trainer. Prepare DART members to serve overseas in an operational coordination capacity. Develop procedures for the Projects Operations Cell. Adopt best practices for expeditionary operations and for global command and control. Incorporate lessons learned from disaster responses. Adopt the recommendations from after action reviews to ensure that the organization is continually growing and learning. Other duties as assigned. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Master's degree (M.A.) and seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in operational coordination or command and control is desired. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
