Job Description
Job Summary The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Granite Falls Furnace Wire Drawing Mill.
This includes operational oversight of:
Manufacturing; Shipping & Recieving; Engineering; and Maintenance as well as total site responsibilities. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all associates. Must follow all Corporate Safety protocols as well as all Local, State and Federal guidelines. 2. Acceptable knowledge of all levels of Wire Drawing as specified in the Wire Drawers and Wire Drawing Leadman job descriptions. 3. Responsible for all associates being properly trained. 4. Responsible for ensuring all plant operational procedures are being followed. 5. Responsible for the manufacture, final inspection, testing and release of completed product to the Shipping area. 6. Responsible for the evaluation and disposition of non-conformities as well as the Corrective and Preventative actions. 7. Responsible for the completion Preventative Maintenance and measured completion rate. 8. Responsible for maintaining production machine uptime standards. 9. Responsible for shipping and receiving activities on-time delivery / accuracy. 10. Responsible for the scheduling of work to achieve maximum productivity. 11. Ensure timely completion of engineering projects and equipment installations. 12. Fiscal responsibility for costs incurred in the operation. 13. Must continually seek and make recommendations to management as to how to improve the company's overall plant operations. 14. Must ensure that all production associates know, understand and adhere to all company policies and expectations. 15. Responsible for meeting/exceeding all company goals relating to production, including but not limited to, machine efficiency and utilization, scrap control, die consumption, downtime reduction, etc. etc. 16. Responsible for achieving/maintaining the necessary resource levels- staffing. 17. Raw material inventory allocation and return to stock accuracy along with EOM inventories
- rod, dies, lubricant etc., etc. Preferred Skills Must be able to utilize the following equipment: 1. Computer and related equipment 2. Any applicable shop equipment including but not limited to
- forklift, pulling dogs, butt welders, payoffs/take-ups, dead block operations, water systems and mechanical/electrical systems of all equipment.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$90,000.00- $125,000.
