Job Description

Operations ManagerPosition Overview We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service and repair business. This position will be responsible for coordinating mechanics, keeping daily operations running efficiently, managing administrative responsibilities, and helping ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who can take initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and effectively manage both people and office operations. Previous office experience and QuickBooks experience are required. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Management Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of mechanics and service personnel Assign and prioritize jobs based on scheduling, customer needs, and mechanic availability Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule Address day-to-day operational issues and keep work moving forward Communicate with mechanics regarding job status, parts, scheduling, and priorities Help maintain an organized and productive shop/service operation Identify operational issues and take initiative to resolve them Office & Administrative Responsibilities Perform daily office and administrative tasks necessary to keep the business running smoothly Maintain accurate records and documentation Manage scheduling, work orders, invoices, and other business paperwork Enter and maintain information in QuickBooks Assist with accounts receivable and billing, which may be a regular day-to-day responsibility Review invoices and ensure billing information is accurate and complete Track payments and follow up on outstanding balances as needed Assist with general bookkeeping and administrative duties Team Coordination Serve as a point of contact between management, mechanics, and the office Help hold mechanics accountable for schedules, job completion, paperwork, and company procedures Ensure mechanics have the information, parts, and resources needed to complete their jobs Help maintain a professional, organized, and productive work environment Qualifications Previous office/administrative experience required QuickBooks experience required Previous experience managing employees, mechanics, technicians, or field-service personnel preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, particularly with billing, invoices, and financial records Proficient with computers and standard office software Ability to work effectively with both office staff and hands-on field/service personnel What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the business . This person should be comfortable managing people, staying on top of schedules and jobs, handling office responsibilities, and jumping in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly. This is an important leadership position for someone who is dependable, organized, proactive, and capable of keeping both the mechanics and the office on track.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
