About the role As Head of CHB Operations, Northeast, you will lead a large-scale Customs House Brokerage operation across multiple locations, ensuring safe, compliant, customer-focused, and efficient execution of customs brokerage services. Reporting to the Head of US Customs, you will oversee a team of 50-75+ colleagues through a leadership structure of managers and operational leaders while driving workforce planning, customer satisfaction, operational performance, talent development, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Lead multi-site Customs Brokerage Operations across the Northeast Area. Develop and coach operational leaders while building a high-performing organization. Drive workforce planning, staffing strategies, capacity management, and organizational effectiveness. Build and maintain strong strategic customer relationships to support retention and growth. Monitor operational performance through KPI management, productivity analysis, and service reviews. Partner with Compliance, Commercial, Finance, HR, Technology, and Operations Excellence teams to achieve business objectives. Leverage technology, automation, and AI solutions to improve productivity, service delivery, and customer outcomes. Who We Are Looking For We recognize that experience comes in many forms. Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required. 10+ years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or global trade operations. Proven experience leading large-scale operational teams and people leaders, including multi-site environments. Experience managing teams of 25+ employees, preferably 50+ employees through multiple layers of leadership. Strong background in workforce planning, operational performance management, and cost control. Demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships and cross-functional organizations. Experience implementing transformation, automation, process improvement, or AI-enabled initiatives is highly desirable.
