Job Description

Overview The Legal Operations Administrator will play a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department and ensure consistent contract management. This individual will be responsible for managing various operational aspects of the legal function, including budgeting, project management, process improvement, vendor management, and technology implementation. This individual will also manage the contract management system, including consulting and collaborating with members of Demant's Legal, Compliance, Business, and Finance teams to draft, review, negotiate, coordinate, execute, amend, renew, terminate, and catalogue a wide range of agreement throughout Demant's business segments.
Responsibilities Operational Management:
Develop and implement processes to streamline legal operations. Oversee the budget for the legal department and manage financial planning, including cost tracking and forecasting. Coordinate and manage outside counsel relationships and legal vendors, ensuring cost effective and high-quality services. Manage and maintain corporate governance documentation and organization in alignment with global colleagues.
Project Management:
Lead and manage legal projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives and ensure legal compliance.
Technology and Systems:
Identify and implement technology solutions to improve legal department efficiency and productivity. Manage legal department technology systems and software, including document management systems, e-billing, contract management and AI tools.
Data and Reporting:
Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of the legal department. Prepare and present reports on legal department activities, trends, and performance to senior management.
Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and improve legal department processes and workflows. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
Contract Management:
Conduct initial review and assist with drafting and negotiation of agreements to advance business relationships while mitigating risk and maintaining Demant's standard contracting positions. Coordinate contracting and budgeting matters with Demant's Legal, Compliance, Business, and Finance teams Provide stakeholders with approved, up-to-date contract templates and assist with contract needs. Finalize agreements for execution, obtain all necessary signatures, and distribute/communicate executed agreements to internal Demant constituents. Assist with storage and management all final agreements to comply with continuity of business requirements; including tracking of critical agreement dates such as notice dates of renewal and termination. Perform miscellaneous contracts-related tasks and projects, as directed by manager.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in managing and mitigating legal risks to the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required with 1-3 years of contract, legal operations, or procurement experience, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Strong understanding of legal processes, technology, and vendor management. Be energetic, engaged, and able to demonstrate past examples of taking a proactive, innovative, and collaborative approach in the management of contracts. Have the ability to work independently alongside legal and business stakeholders and coordinate multiple transactions simultaneously. Have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume, frequently changing environment. Strong verbal and written skills. Possesses superior organizational skills. Proficiency in legal technology solutions, such as e-billing, document management, and contract management systems. Must be hardworking, team-oriented and possess the ability to think creatively and efficiently in resolving business issues. Must make decisions based on sound judgment and display the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
