Job Description

ABOUT DROPP LOGISTICS
Dropp Logistics is a premier third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializing in end-to-end fulfillment and supply chain solutions. We partner with brands of all sizes to deliver reliable warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment services. Our mission is to help businesses scale by providing best-in-class logistics infrastructure, technology-driven visibility, and a relentless commitment to operational excellence. We value clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement across every link of the supply chain.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our daily warehousing and fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a 3PL or multi-client warehouse environment, with demonstrated expertise in inventory control, labor management, and process optimization. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of the facility — tracking performance metrics, resolving issues in real time, and implementing improvements that reduce costs while elevating service quality for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations — receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping — to ensure maximum efficiency, accuracy, and safety across all shifts.
  • Manage inbound and outbound workflows to consistently meet daily volume targets and client-specific service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate with internal customer service, planning, and transportation teams to resolve operational bottlenecks and ensure seamless end-to-end fulfillment.
  • Ensure the warehouse layout and slotting strategy are optimized for throughput and storage utilization. Inventory Management
  • Maintain strict inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and effective utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to minimize shrinkage and write-offs.
  • Collaborate with account management to align inventory strategies with client requirements and seasonal demand fluctuations. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse supervisors and frontline associates, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan labor allocation based on volume forecasts to maintain optimal staffing levels while managing labor costs effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and develop succession plans for key roles. Process Improvement & Performance Tracking
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including order accuracy, on-time shipping rate, units per labor hour (UPLH), and cost per unit.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and lead process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Prepare and present operational reports and dashboards to senior leadership on a weekly and monthly basis. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and any client-specific compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, HAZMAT).
  • Conduct regular safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-ups to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the facility meets all local, state, and federal regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations management, preferably within a 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment, or multi-client distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of 20+ warehouse associates across multiple shifts. Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Deposco, or ShipBob.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus. Core Competencies
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing warehouse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, with a strong commitment to maintaining high service standards and client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
Pay:
