Job Description

Overview At Moorestown Friends School, we weave academic rigor with Quaker values to serve a dual purpose: offering uncommon intellectual challenges while also instilling vital emotional and ethical attributes that empower our students. Our focus on relationships creates conditions for great intellectual daring, remarkably productive collaboration, and courageous perseverance. And our Quaker values impart universal principles of equality, compassion, reflection, and responsibility - which serve students from all backgrounds and belief systems and remain relevant in rapidly changing times. We are seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our Business Office and help manage the financial and operational processes that support the School. About the Role This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with spreadsheets, systems, detailed information, and complex processes. The successful candidate will be comfortable reconciling information from multiple sources, identifying discrepancies, tracking outstanding items, following up with internal and external stakeholders, and taking ownership of work through completion. The School has two Business Operations Coordinator positions with complementary areas of responsibility across financial and general business operations. The specific portfolio for this opening will be determined based on the experience and strengths of the successful candidate and the needs of the Business Office. What You'll Do Manage assigned business processes independently and accurately. Build and maintain spreadsheets, tracking tools, and business records. Reconcile information across systems and sources, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items. Track deadlines, requirements, and follow-up activity through completion. Prepare reports and reconciliations to support Business Office operations and decision-making. Communicate effectively with families, employees, vendors, public agencies, and other external partners. Learn and effectively use financial, operational, and database systems. Document recurring processes and identify opportunities to improve workflows, accuracy, and efficiency. Cross-train with Business Office colleagues to provide continuity and backup support. Share responsibility for responsive Business Office service and general office coverage. What We're Looking For Three to five years of relevant experience in business operations, accounting, finance, data management, logistics, project coordination, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including organizing, comparing, and reconciling detailed information. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or other financial operations is preferred. Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple processes, priorities, and deadlines independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort learning and working in databases and business systems. School, nonprofit, higher education, or other complex service-organization experience is helpful but not required. Compensation and Benefits The hourly range for this position is $26.00-$31.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Moorestown Friends School offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off; medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 403(b) retirement plan with employer contribution; employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability; tuition remission for eligible employees' children; and ongoing professional development.
