This is a hands-on position for an organized, experienced restoration professional who understands both mitigation and reconstruction and is comfortable managing projects from the initial inspection through completion. Compensation $65,000-$125,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications. Position Responsibilities Conduct on-site inspections of properties affected by water, fire, mold, or smoke damage and develop appropriate scopes of work. Manage multiple mitigation projects simultaneously , ensuring work is performed properly, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. Manage reconstruction/repair projects from initial scope through completion, including scheduling, project coordination, quality control, and customer communication. Coordinate with homeowners, property managers, insurance carriers, adjusters, and other claim representatives throughout the insurance claim process. Understand and navigate the property insurance claims process , including estimates, scopes of work, supplements, documentation, and communications with insurance carriers. Allocate reconstruction and repair projects to qualified subcontractors and coordinate their schedules, work, pricing, and performance. Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, documentation, and customer satisfaction. Review mitigation and reconstruction estimates and ensure scopes accurately reflect the work required. Communicate effectively with customers regarding project status, expectations, schedules, and any changes to the scope of work. Ensure proper documentation of projects, including photographs, moisture readings, daily logs, job notes, estimates, change orders, and other required documentation. Work closely with technicians, project managers, subcontractors, and office personnel to keep projects moving efficiently. Identify potential issues before they become problems and take appropriate corrective action. Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, safety, and customer service. Help improve operational procedures and efficiencies as the company continues to grow. Qualifications 3-5 years of restoration-specific experience managing both mitigation and reconstruction projects . Strong working knowledge of water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration . Demonstrated experience managing projects resulting from insurance losses . Strong understanding of the insurance claim process , including working with adjusters, carriers, homeowners, and other claim representatives. Experience conducting property inspections and developing or reviewing restoration scopes of work. Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors for reconstruction and repair work. Ability to manage multiple active mitigation and reconstruction projects simultaneously . Highly organized with excellent time-management and follow-through skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Proficiency with standard computer and office applications. You should be comfortable walking a loss, identifying the appropriate scope, communicating with the homeowner and insurance professionals, managing mitigation, coordinating reconstruction, and bringing the project through successful completion. You must be able to stay organized while managing numerous projects at different stages, respond quickly to changing priorities, and effectively coordinate technicians and subcontractors.
