The Director, Payroll Operations will be responsible for the overall management and processing of employee payroll and related system/administrative functions to ensure accurate, timely and reporting of all wage and tax data in accordance to Federal and State regulations at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Recommends solutions in conjunction with the Payroll Systems Manager to develop and design both process and systemic solutions to improve efficiencies within the payroll department and support operational needs.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Minimum of 15 or more years of solid payroll experience in a multi-state environment, including comprehensive functional knowledge of payroll processing for multiple companies and complex pay practices. Minimum of 10 or more years of management experience including recruitment, performance management and budget responsibilities. Strong working knowledge of all federal and state regulations to ensure accurate wage and tax reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good listening skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven culture a must. Self-Learner; ability to learn and retain new systems and processes quickly. Detail-oriented and strong interpersonal skills.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management. Strong technical knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS/Payroll tables and functionality to facilitate and implement system improvements, understand and test all system upgrades, patches and Tax Updates.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
