Job Description
Operations Manager C&J Equipment Manufacturing | Bloomfield, New Mexico Position Overview C&J Equipment Manufacturing is a leader in full‑service fabrication and equipment manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Operations Manager to oversee daily production at our Bloomfield, New Mexico facility. This high‑impact role is responsible for leading skilled production teams, improving operational efficiency, maintaining strong safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed with precision, quality, and on‑time delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations in a fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly environment. Lead, train, and develop production teams to support quality, safety, and efficiency goals. Manage production schedules, workflow, staffing needs, and project priorities. Support continuous improvement efforts across fabrication, assembly, and equipment production. Coordinate with leadership, supervisors, and project teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and high performance. Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce delays. Use company systems and computer‑based tools to track schedules, production status, and operational performance. Successful Candidates Will Have Proven leadership experience in fabrication, manufacturing, equipment assembly, or a related production environment. Strong understanding of equipment assembly, production flow, and shop operations. Excellent supervisory, coaching, and team‑development skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage complex schedules and balance multiple priorities. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout a manufacturing and fabrication environment. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or platforms as needed. Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, welding activity, machinery, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE as required. Ability to safely navigate production areas, job sites, and equipment assembly spaces. Must be able to perform duties while following all company safety policies and procedures.
