Permian Electrical Operations Manager Carlsbad, NM | Permian Basin We're looking for more than a great electrician. We're looking for a great leader who knows electrical. Wescom is looking for an experienced Permian Electrical Operations Manager to lead our electrical operations throughout the Permian Basin. Technical knowledge matters in this position - but the ability to lead people matters just as much. We're looking for someone who can walk onto a location and understand the electrical work, communicate effectively with automation personnel, earn the respect of a crew, develop supervisors, meet confidently with a customer, and hold people accountable to high standards. This isn't a position for someone who wants to manage the operation entirely from behind a desk. We need a leader who wants to be engaged with our employees, our customers, and the work happening in the field. What You'll Do

• Lead and develop supervisors, foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability throughout the electrical team.
• Maintain a strong presence on customer locations and jobsites.
• Build relationships with customer PICs and operations teams.
• Oversee electrical projects from award through completion.
• Plan manpower, schedules, equipment, and resources across multiple projects.
• Provide electrical technical leadership and quality oversight.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve field issues.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs.
• Support estimating, proposals, and project selection.
• Work closely with Wescom's Automation, Safety, Assets, and other operations teams.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and project execution.
• Develop the next generation of Wescom field leaders. Electrical + Automation Knowledge
• Basic automation knowledge is required. You don't need to be an automation programmer.
• You should understand the fundamentals of PLC-controlled systems, instrumentation, VFDs, communications, and how electrical and automation systems work together in an industrial or oil and gas environment.
• You should be able to recognize issues, communicate intelligently with automation personnel, and help ensure the electrical and automation sides of a project work together successfully. Who We're Looking For
• Strong industrial electrical experience with demonstrated ability to lead people and operations.
• Comfort moving between the field and the business side of the operation - working with crews, meeting with customers, reviewing manpower and project performance, and coaching developing leaders.
• Oil and gas experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple crews, supervisors, projects, and customer relationships.
• Must reside in Carlsbad, New Mexico Opportunity to Grow
