Bellmore, NY (travel between Bellmore, Rockville Centre, and nearby franchise locations)
Salary:
Starting at $75,000 + performance incentives + growth opportunities We're not looking for someone to manage a business. We're looking for someone to help build one. New York Musician's Center has spent nearly 20 years becoming one of Long Island's largest and fastest-growing music schools. Today, we serve over 1,000 students across two corporate locations and have officially begun franchising our business model. Now we're looking for an exceptional Director of Operations to help us build the operating systems that will support our next stage of growth. If you've worked in franchise operations, multi-unit leadership, business coaching, or operational leadership, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for. Our Founder & CEO is transitioning her focus toward franchise development and company growth. Your role will be to build operational excellence throughout our corporate locations while helping establish the systems that future franchisees will follow. This isn't a maintenance position. This is a builder's position. What You'll Do You'll become the operational leader responsible for creating consistency, accountability, and excellence across our organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coaching and developing location managers Leading operational performance across multiple locations Tracking and improving company KPIs Running EOS scorecards, Rocks, and accountability systems Improving operational consistency between locations Hiring, onboarding, and developing leadership talent Creating and improving Standard Operating Procedures Supporting franchise operations and coaching franchise owners Driving student retention and operational excellence Building systems that allow the company to scale Helping transform corporate locations into model franchise locations As we continue growing, you'll become one of the key leaders shaping how every future NYMC location operates. You're just as comfortable sitting in a leadership meeting discussing KPIs as you are stepping behind the front desk to help your team during a busy afternoon. No task is beneath you. No challenge is too big. Preferred Experience We're willing to train the right person, but we'd love someone with experience in one or more of the following: Franchise operations Franchise business coaching Multi-unit operations Director of Operations Regional Manager District Manager Business coaching EOS or similar operating systems Scaling growing organizations Hospitality, education, fitness, retail, or service businesses The Person Who Will Thrive Here... We're expanding our corporate operations, opening new performing arts spaces, growing our franchise system, and building a company that will impact communities across the country.
