Job Description

We are partnering with our client to find an experienced , hands-on Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a high-volume automotive / rolling stock production environment . This role requires a proven leader who can drive team performance, ensure accountability, and deliver results across safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) .
Salary:
$110,000 - $130,000/year Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and hourly teams to achieve operational targets Drive a high-performance, accountable culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet SQCD goals and production schedules Plan, assign, and supervise work in a fast-paced assembly/production environment Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives Ensure adherence to standardized work, SOPs, and quality systems Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure production readiness Monitor and report KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap, downtime) and take corrective action Lead workforce training, development, and performance management Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace , ensuring full EHS compliance Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership Demonstrated success leading large teams in high-volume manufacturing environments Strong background in automotive manufacturing, assembly, or similar industries Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performance Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning, and Microsoft Excel Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Automotive or rolling stock manufacturing experience Experience managing production lines, plant operations, and KPI-driven environments #IND2 Senior Operations Manager 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Elmira, NY 14903 $110,000 - $130,000 a year Employment Solutions of NY 7 reviews $110,000 - $130,000 a year We are partnering with our client to find an experienced , hands-on Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a high-volume automotive / rolling stock production environment .
