New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a full-service distributor based in White Plains, NY. We look for team members who will display and share these values with fellow employees and customers. Our Metals location based in Hicksville, NY is seeking an Operations Manager . In this role you will be responsible for oversight of a 30,000 SF Manufacturing facility. Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is not required, but is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software. Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics. Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor. Oversee CNC programming team. Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors with regards to all aspects of the production workflow. Check and receive inbound materials. Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials. Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy. Perform intermittent and final quality checks. Maintain a culture of Safety. Adhering to NCM Safety Policies. Assist in troubleshooting of machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required. You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have a can do, customer service first attitude Ability to navigate digital MRP systems Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry Familiarity with the CAD programs Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal roofing is a plus Commitment to the Company's mission and its core values Excellent communication and customer service skills Benefits?

Wage Range:
