Join our team today, and put your skills and experience to work empowering our community! Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the credit union CEO in the overall management of the credit union, and has direct responsibility for the administration and supervision of back-end operations activities within established policies and guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assist in directing all credit union operations, which include planning, recommending, and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction. 2. Oversee share draft, electronic funds transfers (EFT) and automated clearing house (ACH) functions in a timely, accurate manner that provides members with quality service. Supervise staff who handle daily share draft, EFT and ACH duties. 3. Serve as an administrator for the Online Account Opening and Online Loan Origination System. Coordinate with department managers and end users; identify and implement areas for improvement and enhancement; serve as a liaison to the software provider for support needs. 4. Serve as an administrator for the core data processing system. Coordinate with management team and IT team; identify and implement areas for improvement and enhancement; serve as a liaison to the software provider for support needs. 5. Collaborate with management team to coordinate tasks across the credit union and develop and implement systems, processes, and staff development to accomplish the goals of the credit union, and improve overall operations and effectiveness. 6. Ensure that the CEO is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the credit union and of all important factors influencing them. 7. Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work, ensure compliance with regulation, and provide consistent quality service to members. Develop and deliver training content on operational procedures. 8. Participate in staff, management, and as needed, department meetings to identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in services or products. Keep staff up to date on operations trends and general credit union information. 9. Oversee hiring, promotions, transfers, terminations, performance evaluations, and other changes in status of assigned employees. 10. Evaluate and coordinate facilities contracts and facilities services. Responsible for controlling costs and negotiating contracts, with support. 11. Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures. 12. Must be able to travel between offices as needed for meetings and training. 13. Undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer. Job Requirements and Qualifications Qualifications 1. Three or more years of professional experience in financial services/banking, legal services, community development, or economic development strongly preferred. 3. Three or more years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, and ability to effectively handle difficult customer conversations. 4. Excellent interpersonal skills including cultural competency and ability to thrive in a culturally, racially, and socioeconomically diverse environment. 5. Ability to plan and organize workload; strong attention to detail is required. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Must develop advanced proficiency with credit union core processing software. 8. Excellent mathematical ability/accuracy; must have or develop general accounting knowledge. 9. This position requires ongoing education to learn job responsibilities and to keep informed as changes take place in products, services and regulations. Physical Requirements These physical requirements are representative of what is necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Operations Manager position.
