Senior Commercial / Industrial Electrical General Foreman Job Overview Milicia Electric Corp. is seeking an accomplished commercial and industrial electrician to serve as our Electrical Field Operations & Service Manager. The position is not a desk-only management job. It is also not intended to be a full-time Field installation position . This is a senior, hands-on field leadership position for an experienced electrician who can organize multiple crews each morning, travel among active projects, verify that jobs have the proper materials and equipment, communicate with customers, troubleshoot electrical problems and assign qualified employees to complete the work. This position is best described as a "general foreman plus." The successful candidate must have the electrical knowledge of a highly experienced foreman, the troubleshooting ability of a senior service electrician and the organizational skills required to coordinate multiple crews and customer locations. When field operations, service calls and project requirements permit, the employee will also work directly with the President/Owner to assist with estimating, pricing, change-order preparation and bidding future commercial and industrial electrical projects. Field operations, customer service and active project support will remain the employee's first priorities. Estimating and bidding assistance will be performed based on workload and at the direction of the President/Owner. The employee will spend most of the day coordinating crews, visiting jobs, solving field problems, obtaining materials, responding to customers and ensuring that assigned work is properly completed. Duties of Senior Commercial / Industrial Electrical General Foreman Morning Crew Setup and Dispatch . Confirm that every crew understands the scope of work, customer contact, project address, scheduled starting time and daily priorities. Pricing, Estimating and Bid Support. Responsibilities may include reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and customer documents. Attend project walkthroughs and pre-bid meetings with the President/Owner when requested. Material and Supply-House Coordination. Order routine project consumables, fittings, hardware, devices and replacement materials. Customer Service and Electrical Troubleshooting. Respond to commercial and industrial customers experiencing electrical problems to investigate electrical failures and service issues. Assign appropriately qualified electricians to perform the repair. Field Crew Leadership. Direct and support foremen, electricians, apprentices and helpers. Help employees solve difficult electrical installation and troubleshooting problems. Customer and Project Communication. Maintain regular communication with customers, facility managers, general contractors and customer project managers. Decision-Making Authority. Within company-established limits . Senior Commercial /
Industrial Electrical General Foreman Required Qualifications:
At least 15-20 years of progressively responsible commercial or industrial electrical experience. At least 5 years of experience as an electrical foreman, general foreman, service supervisor, superintendent or equivalent field leader. Extensive hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience. Demonstrated ability to organize and direct multiple crews and concurrent projects. Commercial and industrial electrical estimating. Electrical material takeoffs. Preparing time-and-material estimates. Thorough understanding of electrical services, feeders, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, motor circuits, lighting systems, controls, grounding and equipment connections. Ability to troubleshoot common 120/208-volt, 120/240-volt, 277/480-volt and related commercial or industrial systems within the individual's training and qualifications. Familiarity with OSHA electrical safety requirements and

safe-work practices. Experience working directly with electrical supply houses and equipment vendors. Ability to identify required materials and confirm product compatibility. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, project managers, foremen, electricians and office personnel. Ability to make sound decisions under time pressure. Ability to prepare emails, field reports, photographs and written service findings. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred not necessary. Senior Commercial / Industrial Electrical General Foreman Preferred Experience Motor controls and equipment troubleshooting. Bluebeam, Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Trimble or similar estimating-software experience. Generators, automatic transfer switches and standby-power systems. Lighting-control systems. Emergency service and shutdown work. Senior Commercial / Industrial Electrical General Foremand ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished commercial or industrial electrician who has progressed beyond running a single crew. This individual is organized, calm under pressure and capable of making practical decisions. The candidate can set up several crews in the morning, recognize when a project is missing material, work with supply houses, speak professionally with customers, troubleshoot difficult electrical problems and assign the right employees to complete the work.
