Job Description
Abercrombie & Fitch is seeking a Conveyor Systems Supervisor to oversee automated material-handling operations supporting retail and e commerce distribution. You will lead a team of technicians, manage conveyor performance, and coordinate with logistics and fulfillment leaders to maintain high throughput, accuracy, and safety. Responsibilities include monitoring system uptime, troubleshooting mechanical and controls issues, scheduling preventive maintenance, and partnering with vendors on repairs and upgrades. You will analyze data to improve flow, reduce downtime, and support peak seasons in a fast-paced, inclusive environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operation of conveyor and material-handling systems in the distribution environment Lead and schedule a team of technicians to meet throughput, accuracy, and safety targets Monitor system performance, uptime, and flow; respond quickly to jams, faults, and bottlenecks Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical and controls components Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and e commerce teams to support service-level goals and peak volumes Partner with external vendors for complex repairs, upgrades, and optimization projects Use data and KPIs to identify trends, reduce downtime, and improve conveyor efficiency Enforce safety policies, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards Train staff on proper operation, lockout/tagout, and basic troubleshooting procedures Document work orders, maintenance records, and performance reports for leadership review Required Skills Conveyor system operations Mechanical troubleshooting PLC and controls familiarity Preventive maintenance planning Warehouse and distribution processes Data analysis and KPI tracking CMMS software usage Vendor and contractor management Safety and OSHA compliance Team leadership and scheduling
