Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Operations Planner to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for scheduling and managing production planning, order execution, and inventory coordination to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization. This role is based on-site at our New Albany facility. Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain daily production and material planning activities within SAP.
- Enter and manage customer sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align demand, production schedules, and inventory levels.
- Monitor and ensure that the finished product is delivered to customer warehouses in a timely manner and work closely with customers to prioritize production if necessary.
- Manage key vendor relationships and vendor score carding.
- Track orders for assigned customers through system and process.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Planning, Allocation, Finance.
- Warehousing teams to support production and flow.
- Prepare new production orders and report completed production to internal teams.
- Maintain and process documentation for execution of material movement.
- Review and monitor inventory and safety stock levels for assigned materials.
- Communicate with customer and internal teams' timelines, inventory, and schedules.
- Responsible for the data integrity of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) that will enable a consistent planning horizon.
- Support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) accuracy through consistent data management.
- Reconcile and report inventory. Qualifications
- Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, customer account management , production planning, order management, or supply chain coordination.
- Prior experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Self-starter with strong time management and follow-through skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new systems or processes.
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
