Job Description

The Operations Manager is the indispensable link between management and employees. This position is responsible for coordinating/managing production and optimizing the execution of various activities in the workshop. This position will function as the overall management contact and will work closely with the Management Team to maintain consistency of operations at all times. This role will also perform and assist the Production Team
  • working alongside to actively contribute, mentor, and ensure safety, quality, and production standards. Job Responsibilities 1. Organization
  • Work aside the Management Team to maintain facility, production, and personnel consistency at all times
  • Creating conditions for optimal production (training plan, procedures, maintenance of assets, work interruptions, shipping)
  • Monitoring the progress and quality of the work
  • Taking care of maintenance and keeping operating and measuring equipment within specification.
  • Analyzing work interruptions and effect on quality and delivery time
  • Register, analyze and report product, process, and system information
  • Ensure adequate staff in accordance with facility budget 2. Leadership
  • Coordinate, motivate, and guide Team Members to achieve targets, output, and budget
  • Consult with Management Team regarding personnel matters (recruitment, promotion, dismissal, etc.)
  • Conduct Team Member assessments and performance reviews
  • Maintain consistent and open communication with Team Members and Management Team
  • Be an ethical, honest, and transparent Leader to the Team
  • Encourage ongoing improvement within the Team and recognize areas for improvement or mentoring

  • Schedule production by order priority
  • Ensure inventory availability for upcoming orders
  • Confirm all products are manufactured and shipped in accordance with

  • Enforce Team Member safety protocol at all times
  • Monitor department performance
  • Troubleshoot and solve delays in material delivery, production stagnation, safety, quality
  • Exchange information about inventory, quality, and delivery time with internal departments 4. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify, initiate, and interpret (technical) developments
  • Realize optimization of production processes and communicate accordingly
  • Initiating, guiding, and leading improvement projects
  • Encourage ongoing improvement within the Team and recognize areas for improvement or mentoring 5. Administrative
  • Provide detailed and logical production and inventory reports
  • Regularly review standard operating procedures and career profiles to determine if improvements can be initiated
  • Provide Team Member updates to the Management Team as needed
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll and PTO reports for processing
  • Monitor Team Member absenteeism
  • Be conscious of potential Team Member policy or safety violation and determine proper disciplinary action 6. Training
  • Provide training, education, and qualification of Team Members
  • Coordinate training
  • Timely forwarding of training questions to the Management Team and/or HR department
  • Recognize additional opportunities for training programs
  • Develop and initiate a cross-training program for all Team positions 7. Onboarding
  • Assist new Team Members with completion of HR onboarding
  • Review and confirm understanding of the

Minimum of 5 years Production and Manufacturing experience 2. Minimum of 5 years Management experience 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office 4. Quality Management Systems 5. Audit Management 6. Warehouse Operations 7. Component and Raw Materials Procurement 8. Mechanical ability and aptitude Preferred Skills/Education/Experience 1. Mechanical Engineering degree or work experience 2. Electrical Assembly 3. CNC Programming 4. Lean Manufacturing 5. International Business experience
