Regional General Manager Where You Will Work Colwood Golf Center Located in Northeast Portland near PDX, Colwood is a player-development and event-friendly facility featuring a 9-hole par-3 course, driving range, footgolf, and flexible event space that attracts beginners, families, and value-oriented golfers. What You'll Do Provide appropriate leadership, direction, and supervision to staff members in accordance with Company culture to deliver genuine, helpful, and friendly customer service. Assist department heads with the recruitment, hiring, supervision, training, and evaluation of restaurant, banquet and golf course employees when necessary, creating an environment for success. Develop front-line staff, creating and managing a system of accountability through effective training, continued feedback, and leadership. This requires a daily focus, ensuring job tasks are completed to satisfactory levels. Oversee daily operating activities to include (but are not limited to) opening, closing and securing the clubhouse; plan and schedule work duties of personnel and monitor staff job performance. Partner closely with the golf and event salesperson(s) to proactively coordinate and oversee the operational execution of all outings, special events, and banquets. Ensure staffing, facility readiness, service standards, and cross-department communication are in place to deliver a seamless guest experience. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of F&B and facility staffing needs. Oversee schedules and ensure that the facility is appropriately staffed for all shifts, and in compliance with all laws and regulations regarding labor scheduling. Take an active leadership role in event and banquet operations by conducting pre-event planning meetings, coordinating operational details across departments, monitoring event execution, and facilitating post-event follow-up to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain an active presence during tournaments, banquets, and special events to provide leadership, resolve operational issues, support staff, and ensure exceptional guest service throughout the event. Institute and enforce inventory control measures including spot checks on product counts. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with local and regional health authorities. Ensure that the clubhouse, driving range and grounds are maintained to applicable appearance and safety standards - including (but not limited to) the golf shop, restaurant and banquet areas, restrooms, parking lot and other areas of the facility. Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, in order to appropriately manage and assess all facets of the operation. Continually implement changes and improvements to operations based off the assessment of the various schedules. Assure the efficient, accurate, and timely submission of all required operational, financial, budgetary reports, including weekly/monthly invoices and expense reports. Lead property level merchandising operations. Be knowledgeable of retail golf products and train golf shop staff on selling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and maximize sales opportunities. Maintain levels of products relative to the season and traffic level in the golf shop. Collaborate with other merchandisers in the system to meet budgetary goals. Interact with guests in a congenial and professional manner. Handle customer inquiries and complaints and respond to customer survey results in a timely manner. Ensure that F&B facilities and equipment are maintained and in proper repair. Ensure all golf equipment (carts, range equipment, etc.) are properly maintained and in working order. Facilitate the equipment preventative maintenance plan, including up-to-date documentation on maintenance procedures. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service. Own all systems and checklists to ensure compliance with organizational, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. Assists and ensures completion of all Month End inventories for F&B and golf merchandise. Audit and update F&B inventory cost on a regular basis to ensure accurate COGS calculations are being performed. Communicate effectively with Regional General Manager and admin team to ensure smooth overall facility operations. Complete other duties, projects, and/or tasks as assigned. Ideal Candidate Minimum 5 years' experience managing teams required, preferably in the golf, food & beverage, or hospitality industry. Food and beverage/event management experience preferred Bachelor's degree preferred
