We provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults with disabilities across Portland, Tigard, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, and Hillsboro. We are independent, not a franchise, which means the person running this office actually gets to make decisions. Position Overview We are looking for a General Manager to run our Portland operation.
You will own the office:
the care team, the client experience, referral relationships, compliance, and the P&L. You will have direct access to ownership and real authority over how the branch is run. This is the right role for an operator who wants to build something and be measured on results. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations for the Portland office, including scheduling, client care, and recruiting Manage and develop the office team, from hiring through performance coaching Own branch financial performance: revenue growth, gross margin, overtime, and labor cost Grow census by building referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, case managers, and other community partners Oversee caregiver recruiting and retention so client shifts stay covered Ensure compliance with Oregon home care regulations, HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal policy Resolve escalated client and family concerns quickly and professionally Report on key metrics to ownership and act on what the numbers say Improve the systems and processes that keep the office running What You Need 3+ years of management experience with direct responsibility for a team and for results Experience owning a budget, P&L, or revenue and margin targets Strong people leadership: hiring, coaching, and holding a team accountable Excellent judgment under pressure and comfort making decisions without a corporate playbook Clear, professional communication with staff, clients, families, and referral partners Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Nice to Have Home care, home health, hospice, senior living, or healthcare staffing leadership experience Working knowledge of Medicaid, VA, or private-pay billing Experience building referral pipelines in the Portland healthcare community Familiarity with WellSky, ClearCare, or comparable care management software Compensation and Benefits $85,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience Performance bonus tied to branch growth and financial results Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays 401(k) Mileage reimbursement for business travel Real decision-making authority
