Here at Lakeside Foods, our field maintenance team is the backbone of our field operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally. Field maintenance mechanics/technicians are respected team members, performing preventative maintenance, adjustments and repairs on our harvesting equipment such as pea harvesters and sweet corn harvesters. If you are a creative problem-solver who likes to work outdoors during the summer months and indoors in the winter months, we want to talk with you.

What You'll Do:

  • -Harvest Season (June-October)
  • Responsible for the efficient operation of pea & corn harvesters and other equipment used in our planting and harvesting operations.
  • Serve as a Mechanic for field operations. Train other seasonal field employees in the safe, proper, and efficient operation of field equipment
  • Preventative Maintenance Season (November-May)
  • Overhaul & repair machinery and vehicles used in field operations
  • Maintain Lakeside company vehicles
What You'll Bring:

  • -Should have three to five years experience as a Field Mechanic or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the operation, preventative maintenance and repair of field equipment would be useful
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Positive attitude
