Job Description
About the Company Founded near Saxonburg, PA in 1971, Chick Machine is focused on building a powerhouse team and production system to deliver build-to-print precision machined components for the Space, Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Laser industries. To help build scalable systems and sustain growth, Chick is seeking a hands-on Operations Administrator to support purchasing, production, order maintenance, and administration. Components of the role include (but not limited to) Purchasing Purchase and manage outside processing Quote and order tooling, packaging, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), and quality supplies Purchase and manage indirect spend (cleaning supplies, office supplies, snacks, and shop supplies) Verify and record all receivers and vendor invoicing Production Support Print job travelers Scan / digitize documentation as needed Generate SDS labels Generate material tags for material handling trays Order Maintenance Enter new orders Update existing orders Administrative Invoice customer shipments Issue checks to vendors Welcome and check in visitors Answer phone (as needed) Maintain and update training records Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations Familiarity with aerospace requirements, including material specs and certifications Hands-on experience managing vendors Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop
