The Director of Operations is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations including production, quality management, maintenance, and engineering. This role ensures alignment across departments to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget, while driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and mentor managers across production, quality, maintenance, and engineering. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals. Establish performance metrics (KPIs) and drive accountability across teams. Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided. Present Operations Reports and Production Analysis to Management Team Monthly. Present Production, Quality, Technical and CapEx updates at quarterly board meetings. Deliver annual CapEx Budget and oversee implementation. Develop the annual operating budget in conjunction with finance. Oversee production scheduling, labor planning, and efficiency targets. Ensure on-time delivery, throughput optimization, and cost control. Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives. Analyze machine & production data to gain key insights and drive improvement. Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 140001, & ISO 13485). Drive quality team to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions. Prepare for and assist with audits (customer, regulatory, third-party). Drive regulatory compliance. Oversee the technical and maintenance team in preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Oversee capital projects, new equipment installation, and plant upgrades. Drive process engineering improvements and technical troubleshooting. Partner with sales, customer service, and R&D to support product launches and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement. Report performance issues and improvement initiatives to executive leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred) 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experienc Experience overseeing multiple departments in a plant setting for operational excellence Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management skills Strategic and analytical thinking Experience with conflict resolution and team development Financial acumen 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience Experience overseeing multiple departments in a plant setting for operational excellence Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management skills Strategic and analytical thinking Experience with conflict resolution and team development Financial acumen Project management
