Job Description

At PennEngineering, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. You can contribute to work that matters with a company where diversity, equity and belonging are shared values. We're committed to fostering an environment for every employee that's welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us. PennEngineering is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to serve as Director of Operations at our Danboro, PA facility — the birthplace of the PEM® brand and the flagship site in our global manufacturing network. This is the senior operations leadership role at Danboro, a non-union site. You will own day-to-day accountability for the plant's manufacturing organization — Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Supply Chain, and EH&S — and lead a management team of 8 managers and supervisors overseeing approximately 230 employees. You will be measured on safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and you will carry responsibility for the manufacturing and capital budgets that support them. We are looking for someone who wants to build something here, not simply hold a seat. This role is scoped and structured with significant room to grow, and the successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Plant Manager from day one — with deliberate investment in their development and exposure well beyond the four walls of manufacturing. Join us as we build the future in Manufacturing and Operations!
Requirements:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
BS degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or equivalent experience. Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive manufacturing and operations management experience, including at least three (3) years leading a multi-department manufacturing organization. Demonstrated accountability for a site or value-stream P&L, including budget development, financial planning, and variance management. Track record of running operations to a defined set of key metrics and a structured management operating system. Demonstrated experience implementing and driving continuous improvement in operations. Strong computer skills, including a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards. Multi-process manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
