Job Summary Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams and delivering measurable business results? Human Active Technology (HAT) is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead our Easton, PA manufacturing facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing Fabrication, Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Facilities and Continuous Improvement. You will play a key role in shaping operational strategy, improving performance and supporting the continued growth of an innovative manufacturing organization. What You'll Do Based in our Easton, PA headquarters, the Director of Operations will provide strategic leadership while remaining actively engaged with day-to-day operations. This position partners closely with executive leadership to improve operational performance, build scalable processes and create an environment where employees can perform at their highest level.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead all manufacturing, warehouse, engineering and facilities operations to ensure safe, efficient, compliant and high-quality production. Champion a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and operational excellence throughout the organization. Develop and execute strategies that improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and profitability. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives across all functional areas. Establish, monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including Safety, Quality, Throughput, Labor Efficiency, Downtime, On-Time Delivery, Inventory Accuracy and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Identify production bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions that increase capacity and operational efficiency. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize production processes, equipment utilization and facility layout. Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, material flow and shipping activities to support manufacturing and customer demand. Lead capital improvement projects, facility expansions and equipment implementation initiatives. Support budgeting, forecasting, labor planning and cost management while identifying opportunities for operational savings. Recruit, coach, mentor and develop leaders while building a culture of accountability and continuous learning. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service and Executive Leadership to achieve business objectives. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with increasing operational responsibility. Proven success leading production, warehouse, engineering and cross-functional manufacturing teams. Experience within sheet metal fabrication, welding, metal manufacturing or other discrete manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Strong background implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence initiatives. Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, safety and cost performance through data-driven decision making. Experience managing KPIs such as OEE, throughput, labor efficiency, inventory, downtime and on-time delivery. Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and cost management. Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching and change management skills. A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to build trust and develop high-performing teams.
