About the
Role:
U.S. Lawns is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to lead daily operations, drive team performance, and ensure top-tier service delivery across commercial landscape maintenance and enhancement services. This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives on accountability, coaching teams, and keeping operations smooth, safe, and profitable. Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight Assist in creating and managing labor and material budgets. Monitor actuals vs. budget and make data-driven decisions. Manage purchasing and control costs. Understand P&L statements and cash flow needs. Support accounts receivable collections as needed. Customer Success Maintain strong client relationships through routine communication and quick follow-up. Respond to service requests promptly and professionally. Meet with customers to establish maintenance and enhancement budgets. Track customer interactions using a contact log. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, and onboard field employees. Assign uniforms and equipment; manage the 5-Star Training Program. Conduct performance evaluations and supervisory coaching. Recommend wages and lead seasonal staffing decisions. Maintain morale, ensure accountability, and lead disciplinary processes when necessary. Safety & Compliance Plan and lead safety meetings; maintain all related documentation. Enforce safety standards and proper PPE usage. Oversee HazCom program and SDS documentation. Conduct equipment/vehicle safety inspections. Sales & Marketing Support Assist with execution of the Sales Action Plan. Develop enhancement goals and review contract renewals. Generate new business through upselling, referrals, and proposals. Track sales performance and manage enhancement schedules. Field & Shop Management Schedule crew routing and manage dispatch and returns. Ensure proper job sequencing, equipment delivery, and material handling. Supervise enhancement projects, manage calendars, and adapt to weather-related changes. Manage equipment maintenance, inventory, and shop safety protocols. Office & Administration Coordinate timesheets, hiring paperwork, and field documentation with the office. Help maintain organized job files and verify enhancement billing. Communicate uniform and supply needs across departments. Ensure a clean, functional training area and respond proactively to deadlines. Licenses & Compliance Maintain an active spray license and appropriate driver's license. Ensure required vehicle and driver information is provided to the office. Uphold U.S. Lawns brand standards and support local branch plans. What You Bring to the
