POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Relocation & Referral Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the company's relocation and referral business. This position is responsible for the financial performance of the department, management and development of relocation personnel, administration of incoming and outgoing referral opportunities, partner relationships, compliance, systems, reporting, and quality of service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fiscal Stewardship & Strategic Planning Develop and manage the annual relocation department revenue and expense budgets in collaboration with the EVP of Sales Leadership and CFO. Establish departmental financial goals and performance expectations. Monitor revenue, expenses, referral fees, profitability, and overall financial performance. Develop financial forecasts and identify opportunities to improve departmental profitability. Establish production and service goals for relocation and referral operations. Provide regular financial and performance reporting to executive leadership. Relocation & Referral Operations Direct the daily operations of the Relocation Department. Oversee the receipt, acceptance, assignment, tracking, and disposition of incoming and outgoing referral opportunities. Establish processes and standards to ensure referrals are responded to and serviced appropriately and within required timeframes. Oversee referral fee collection, reporting, and reconciliation. Ensure compliance with referral agreements, relocation partner requirements, and company policies. Maintain operational standards that support exceptional service to clients, agents, referral partners, and relocation companies. Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accountability, and service quality. Strategic Partner Management Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national Relocation Management Companies (RMCs), relocation networks, brokers, corporate partners, and other referral sources. Serve as a primary relationship leader for key relocation and referral partners. Represent the company within relocation networks and industry organizations. Maintain awareness of changing relocation industry expectations, requirements, and best practices. Collaborate with the Director of Referral & Lead Generation to identify opportunities within existing partner relationships for additional business development. Leadership & Human Capital Lead, coach, and develop relocation department employees. Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability for department personnel. Oversee administrative, coordination, accounting, and referral-support functions. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional client care. Recruit and develop talent as needed to support department growth. Conduct regular employee performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development. Systems, Reporting & Quality Control Oversee the implementation and effective use of relocation and referral management systems. Ensure accurate and timely data entry, reporting, referral tracking, and financial documentation. Monitor referral conversion rates, referral fees, production, service levels, and other key departmental metrics. Establish and maintain reporting standards for executive leadership and strategic partners. Use departmental data to identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with executive leadership and office leaders to integrate relocation and referral initiatives into the broader company strategy. Work closely with the Director of Referral & Lead Generation to ensure opportunities generated through business development efforts are properly received, assigned, tracked, nurtured, and converted. Communicate departmental opportunities, challenges, and performance to company leadership. Support company-wide initiatives designed to improve agent productivity, client experience, and referral generation.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
