Local and Regional Travel Required About the Position We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Team Lead to oversee field operations for a voter registration program throughout Pennsylvania. The Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of voter registration canvassers, ensuring daily goals and operational standards are met, coordinating field activities, training team members, and serving as the primary point of contact for the program while working in communities across Pennsylvania. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable working in the field, managing people, traveling to different locations, and working a flexible schedule based on program needs. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of voter registration staff. Coordinate daily field operations and team assignments. Conduct regular team meetings, check-ins, and performance reviews. Train new staff on voter registration procedures, field expectations, professionalism, and program policies. Ensure staff accurately and professionally assist eligible individuals with voter registration. Monitor team performance, attendance, productivity, and quality. Troubleshoot field issues and resolve problems quickly. Communicate daily updates, challenges, and results to program management. Maintain accurate records and submit required reports. Ensure all voter registration materials and equipment are properly maintained. Travel to different field locations throughout the assigned area. Represent the organization professionally when interacting with community members, partners, businesses, and local organizations. Ensure all team members follow applicable Pennsylvania voter-registration laws and organizational policies. Help create a positive, professional, and productive field environment. Required Qualifications Candidates MUST meet the following requirements: Previous team-lead, supervisor, field organizer, canvassing, voter-registration, political campaign, community outreach, or similar leadership experience is required. Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to use a smartphone and basic computer applications for reporting and communication. Must have reliable personal transportation. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain legally required automobile insurance. Must have open availability, including evenings and weekends. Must be comfortable traveling between multiple field locations. Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work outdoors and in public-facing environments. Must be able to work extended hours when required by program needs or deadlines. Must be willing to complete all required training before beginning field work. Preferred Qualifications Previous voter registration or voter engagement experience. Previous political campaign or nonprofit field experience. Experience managing canvassers or community outreach teams. Experience working with performance goals and daily activity metrics. Knowledge of Pennsylvania voter registration procedures. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Availability Requirements This position requires open and flexible availability . Candidates must be prepared to work: Monday through Sunday as needed. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Weekends and holidays when scheduled. Extended hours during high-volume periods. Different locations throughout the assigned Pennsylvania territory. This is not a position for someone with a limited or fixed schedule. Candidates must be able to adjust their availability based on program and field needs. Transportation Requirements Because this is a field-based position, reliable personal transportation is mandatory . The Team Lead will be expected to travel between field locations, team meeting locations, community events, and other assigned sites.
