Job Summary The Business Manager works with professional accounting staff and management team members in recording, reconciling and auditing accounting data. Oversees recruiting and retention practices for employees, serves as a consultant and guide for the office managers and supervisory staff, implements financial and business policies for the organization, and prepares business operations reports for the Board of Directors. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Assist with insurance claim rejections and ensure timely follow-up through final resolution. Responsibilities Performs the recording, reconciling and auditing accounting data/duties. Post transactions involving cash receipts, disbursements and/or accounts payable and receivable to ledger accounts. Properly code charges for posting cost and classifying expenses by office location. Primarily responsible for the preparation of financial statements, cost reports and bank reconciliations. Prepares and presents financial reports by the 20th of each month for the month prior. Check and review audited vouchers to ensure accuracy and conformance to established accounting procedures. Assist in office management for operational purposes. Keep employee personnel files current (electronic and hard copy) Answers general questions related to financial matters on client balances. Follow up with customer if additional information is required. Learn and understand front desk responsibilities for support as needed. Must be proficient with QuickBooks On-line, Excel, Word, and Google forms/docs/sheets software programs. Prepare for independent financial reviews and/or independent financial audits. Primary contact for outside collections Assist with insurance claim rejections to a resolution, working with administrative staff and EHR support. Experience Proven experience in business development management within nonprofit or healthcare-related sectors. Strong proficiency in CRM software / Quickbooks online / Excel and google docs Strong accounting experience. Excellent time-management skills, self driven, and ability to prioritize. Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with customer relationship management practices within a mission-driven organization.
