Job Description

Build your career in e-commerce while helping brands grow. Hey! We're Step By Step Sellers, a small, Lansing-based e-commerce marketing and advertising agency. We partner with brands to grow their businesses on Amazon through account management, advertising, content optimization, graphic design, and photography. We're looking for an Operations Coordinator who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, and getting the details right. You'll work closely with our team to support client accounts, maintain product listings, coordinate daily operations, and gather data that helps guide decisions. This role combines detailed administrative work with creative marketing tasks and troubleshooting. You'll receive dedicated training, gain hands-on experience, and have opportunities to take on more responsibility as you grow. What you'll do: Support Amazon accounts and daily operations Account reviews and summaries: Follow account review checklists, identify potential compliance or optimization issues, and summarize findings and next steps.
Client onboarding:
Assist with account setup, gather information, and keep documentation accurate and organized.
Shipment coordination:
Help prepare and submit Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) shipment plans.
Troubleshooting:
Investigate listing and account issues, document progress, and flag problems that need additional support.
Client communication:
Support client emails, follow up on missing information, and keep the team informed. Create and improve product listings Listing creation: Build new product listings in Amazon Seller Central with accurate product details and properly structured variations.
Copywriting:
Write clear, keyword-informed product titles, bullet points, and descriptions that reflect each brand and its audience. Keyword research and
SEO:
Research relevant search terms and apply Amazon SEO best practices to support organic visibility.
Content and catalog updates:
Upload product content and use spreadsheet-based flat-file templates to assist with bulk updates and catalog improvements.
Quality checks:
Review listing details, copy, and uploaded content for accuracy and completeness. Support marketing, reporting, and team workflows
Amazon Creator Connections:
Assist with setting up and managing basic influencer campaigns through Amazon's Creator Connections platform.
Data and reporting:
Gather and organize data for account analysis and performance tracking, checking reports for accuracy.
Task tracking:
Keep project trackers current, monitor deadlines, and flag blockers before they delay client work.
Process improvement:
Create and update checklists and step-by-step instructions, and help identify ways to make recurring tasks more efficient.
Administrative support:
Assist with additional projects that keep the team organized and operations running smoothly. What you'll bring: Strong organizational and communication skills, with close attention to detail. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for organizing and analyzing data. A proactive, resourceful approach to solving problems. Experience in customer service or client communication. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, or Amazon Seller Central. Comfort learning new software and following detailed processes. Sound judgment when handling client information, account access, and business data. A bachelor's degree is a plus, but it isn't required. We value relevant experience, curiosity, and dependable work. You don't need experience with every task listed above—we provide training on our tools and processes. Nice to have—not required
Amazon PPC:
Experience setting up or optimizing advertising campaigns in Amazon Ads.
Meta or Google Ads:
Familiarity with campaign structure, audience or keyword targeting, and budgeting.
TikTok Shop:
Experience supporting product sales or advertising through TikTok's e-commerce platform.
AI tools:
Proficiency with ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools, including writing effective prompts, improving workflows, and reviewing outputs for accuracy while protecting client information.
Walmart marketplace operations:
Experience managing product listings, orders, or support cases through Walmart's seller platform.
Marketing experience:
A background in digital marketing, content creation, copywriting, or campaign support.
Excel macros:
Working knowledge of creating and running macros to simplify recurring tasks.
An entrepreneurial mindset:
You take initiative, spot opportunities, and care about helping a business grow. Pay, benefits, and growth $17.50-$20 per hour.
Full-time schedule:
approximately 40 hours per week. Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. Paid time off and sick time. Hands-on training in Amazon operations, digital marketing, and client account support. Career growth opportunities as you develop your skills and our agency expands.
Your first year and beyond:
First three months: Receive hands-on training with our Lansing team, building confidence with our tools, client accounts, and daily workflows.
After three months:
Receive a pay increase as you complete training and take greater ownership of tasks.
At one year:
