Office Lead Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired Madison, WI Job Details Full-time $25 - $27 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Confidential information handling Productivity software Associate's degree Full Job Description The Office Lead supports the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired by coordinating office operations, customer service, front desk functions, volunteer activities and building operations. This position serves as a key point of contact for clients, visitors, volunteers, vendors and community partners and helps ensure the Council's day-to-day operations run smoothly and effectively. The Office Lead supervises front desk staff, supports programs and events, coordinates accessible communications, and assists with building and grounds operations. Primary Responsibilities Front desk leadership and customer service Supervise, train, schedule, and support two part-time front desk staff members. Ensure excellent customer service for clients, visitors, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Provide front desk coverage as needed and connect individuals with appropriate staff and services. Support operations in the Sharper Vision Store, including customer service, inventory assistance, and staff coverage as needed. Office Administration Support efficient day-to-day office operations. Maintain operational and technology documentation to support organizational continuity. Provide administrative support and basic backup technology assistance. Community Engagement Recruit and support volunteers. Assist with outreach activities, events, tours, and special programs. Coordinate the production and distribution of braille, audio, and other accessible formats of organizational communications and publications. Office & Facilities Operations Maintain organized shared spaces throughout the facility and coordinate purchasing of office supplies. Conduct routine facility inspections and coordinate building and grounds operations, including contracted services, maintenance activities, repairs, and facility improvement projects. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Council's mission and operations. Required Skills Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and office technology Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, both independently and collaboratively Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience Experience in customer service, nonprofit operations, administrative support, facilities coordination, or event planning Knowledge of blindness, low vision, or disability-related services Braille and/or Spanish fluency highly valued How to Apply Please email your resume and cover letter to . Pay:

Work Location:
This is an in-person position based at our Madison office and requires regular on-site attendance. Limited flexibility for occasional remote work may be available based on organizational needs and employee performance.
