Providing operational management and support tasks for AGS and other Akima operating companies in the capability areas of protective and emergency services and detention management. This position will require working closely with federal customers, AGS management and project/operational staff, Akima Shared Services staff, and Akima business development and capture resources. The selected applicant will have overall responsibility to support and deliver outstanding operational and financial performance and company growth objectives for the AGS/Akima law enforcement/security capability area. The position requires frequent travel (approximately 50%) and sometimes extended stays at project locations.Responsibilities:
Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills Superb interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated leadership capability Excellent writing and communication skills Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications Ability to function effectively as part of a team Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities - includes but not limited to: Works closely with site contract teams to develop standard operating procedures and post orders aligned with contractual requirements Establishes close working relationship with site level clients Provide transition management duties for new contract phase-ins Provide on-site specific problem solving/support Supports financial performance of contracts with a goal of achieving the highest possible net income; working closely with project management staff to implement methods for increased efficiencies, staffing/scheduling models that will ensure program requirements are met with the least number of staff hours, identifying opportunities for overhead cost reductions in equipment, materials, and supplies Support business development/capture efforts with technical inputs, identification of key personnel, customer visits, participation in solicitation site visits, color reviews, and estimating. Responsible for monitoring and managing subcontractor/vendor performance for projects assigned Responsible for monitoring and managing safety performance Ensure all company and operational requirements and policies are adhered to at the project level Provides new business subject matter expertise for capture and proposal development activitiesQualifications:
Requires at least 15 years' experience and knowledge of protective services, emergency management, and/or detention/corrections at a senior operational level 3-5 years' experience with business development, capture, and technical proposal development Formal law enforcement training 10 years' experience managing budgets of at least $10 million per year Experience developing policy and standards for security operations BS in a related field; master's preferred; Law enforcement experience and police academy or other qualified training can be substituted for college degreeJob ID:
