Full-Time, Contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Associate Manager - Sample Operations to support the product operations team of a leading global consumer products organization in Kissimmee, FL. This position focuses on managing the day-to-day movement, organization, tracking, and distribution of physical product samples while helping improve operational processes and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate retail operations, product coordination, inventory management, logistics, or sample operations. This individual should be comfortable working hands-on with merchandise, managing detailed tracking systems, coordinating shipments, and supporting process improvements.

This is a corporate retail operations position, not a traditional retail sales-floor role. Candidates should have relevant experience supporting product operations, inventory, logistics, or corporate merchandising functions. Key Responsibilities Product Sample Management Receive, unpack, sort, and organize incoming product and packaging samples. Track and maintain accurate records of sample inventory, locations, and movement. Label and identify samples using QR codes, barcodes, or other tracking methods. Enter and update sample information within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Coordinate sample distribution to internal departments and business partners. Retrieve and prepare samples for meetings, product reviews, photography, and presentations. Maintain organized storage areas, sample libraries, and workspaces. Assist with sample returns, transfers, recycling, and disposal. Inventory Tracking & Data Management Maintain accurate sample records within inventory and product management systems. Monitor sample locations, ownership, status, and availability. Perform inventory reconciliations to ensure physical samples match system records. Investigate missing, unidentified, or incorrectly routed merchandise. Prepare reports related to sample inventory, shipment activity, and operational performance. Support the implementation of barcode and QR-code tracking processes. Shipping & Logistics Coordination Prepare and coordinate domestic and international sample shipments. Manage incoming and outgoing packages between suppliers and corporate offices. Track shipping activity and maintain accurate documentation. Assist with shipment consolidation and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary shipping costs. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery. Maintain organized receiving, packing, and shipping areas. Process Improvement & Administrative Support Review existing sample-handling procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Help develop standardized processes for receiving, tracking, storing, and distributing samples. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and workflow documentation. Support the implementation of new inventory tracking tools and digital workflows. Assist with reporting, operational metrics, and process documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve communication and sample visibility. Help train team members on updated processes and procedures. Support the transition of improved sample-management workflows to ongoing operational teams. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in corporate retail operations, inventory management, product operations, sample coordination, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field. Previous experience handling, organizing, tracking, or distributing physical products or inventory. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Experience maintaining accurate inventory records and working with tracking systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Comfortable performing hands-on tasks, including unpacking shipments, organizing merchandise, and preparing packages. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments. Experience supporting or improving operational procedures. Ability to safely handle, move, pack, and ship product samples and cartons, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in corporate retail, consumer products, apparel, footwear, toys, home goods, or product development. Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, particularly Flex
PLM / PTC
Flex. Experience using barcode scanners, QR codes, or inventory management software. Previous experience coordinating product samples or managing a sample library or showroom. Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures. Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Smartsheet, or workflow automation tools. Familiarity with process improvement, inventory reconciliation, and operational reporting. Experience supporting product sourcing, merchandising, or supply chain teams.
