About the Role We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated Director of Mechanical Operations to lead and build our HVAC/mechanical operations from the ground up. This is not a traditional operations management position. We are looking for someone who can think like an owner, operate like a leader, and build like an entrepreneur . The ideal candidate has a strong field background, understands the HVAC industry from the ground level, and has the vision and drive to develop people, processes, customers, and revenue. The Director of Mechanical Operations will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the day-to-day mechanical operation while developing the infrastructure necessary to grow the business into a highly profitable and scalable division. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC/mechanical field experience. Proven experience leading HVAC/mechanical operations, projects, service teams, or a similar function. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation, service, maintenance, estimating, and field operations. Demonstrated leadership and team-management experience. Strong business development and customer relationship skills. Ability to understand financial statements, job costing, margins, and operational KPIs. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites and customer locations as needed.
