Job Description

Environmental Technician/Cleaning Position Summary The Environmental Technician works throughout the facility, including common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, bedrooms, utility areas, and exterior grounds. The position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize daily responsibilities, respond to facility needs, and maintain a professional and respectful environment at all times. This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to identify and address routine facility issues before they become larger problems. Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 hours per week
  • Some flexibility may be required based on facility needs, weather conditions, or emergency situations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Cleaning
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the facility.
Sweep, mop, and clean floors throughout the building. Clean and maintain hallways, common areas, offices, bedrooms, and other assigned areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms and other surfaces as needed. Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Clean spills and address other cleanliness concerns promptly. Identify and report any hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, leaks, or other facility concerns. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of exterior areas. Pick up trash and debris around the property, entrances, patios, and other exterior areas as needed. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in environmental services, janitorial services, facilities maintenance, housekeeping. Ability to perform minor repairs and general facility upkeep. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to communicate maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly. Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times. Physical Requirements This position is physically active and requires the employee to regularly perform tasks that may include:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Lifting and carrying cleaning supplies, trash bags, and other materials. using ladders when necessary. Reaching overhead. Performing repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks. Working in indoor and outdoor environments and varying temperatures
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
