Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Training & Development, the Strategic Initiatives Coordinator oversees delivery of all asynchronous, internal professional development that supports the Division of Student Success staff members in achieving divisional and institutional goals. The coordinator also identifies appropriate external opportunities to meet the professional goals of divisional staff. The coordinator supports the Manager of Training & Development and the Student Success Courses team by overseeing all processes and logistics related to internal professional development and Student Success Course oversight.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree Experience:
One year of full-time experience in higher education or HR at time of hire; Two years of part-time work or as a graduate assistant will count as one year of professional experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain collaborative professional relationships Attention to detail Highly developed written communication skills Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate events and programs Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
1+ year experience in an HR learning & development department or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of quality learning design and/or curriculum development Knowledge of CliftonStrengths as a professional development tool Ability to build courses in Canvas LMS Proficient in Banner usage

Professional References Asynchronous Programming:
(25%) The Coordinator supports the Division of Student Success's professional development and training efforts by designing, monitoring, and continuously improving division-wide asynchronous learning initiatives that promote well-being practices and strengths-based approaches. The Coordinator creates curriculum that is relevant and accessible for employees across roles, functions, and experience levels and that is grounded in best practices aligned with the division's mission. This includes designing specialized professional development and training initiatives for particular roles in the division as needed or requested by leadership.
Professional Development Operational Oversight:
(25%) The coordinator manages the operational details for the delivery of all training and professional development programming. This includes scheduling, registration, materials preparations, participant communications, day-of logistics, attendance/completion tracking, assessment, and follow-up. This also includes oversight of our Gallup CliftonStrengths portal. To support quality programming, the Coordinator collects feedback and tracks participation and engagement to inform future improvements. The coordinator partners with the divisional communications team to ensure materials meet division and university design standards and maintains the division's training and professional development employee hub page with current opportunities and resources.
Student Success Courses Operational Oversight:
(20%) In collaboration with the Student Success Course team, the coordinator will manage the operational details for courses delivered by the division. This includes all processes related to the registrar such as timetable creation and submission, pre-enrollment of students, and enrollment monitoring. The coordinator will also oversee processes related to instructor recruitment, training logistics, and payment.
Student Success Courses Materials Support:
(20%) In collaboration with the Student Success Courses team, the coordinator will support the creation of course materials, including the Canvas LMS sites and other print materials. Other Duties as Assigned (10%) Other duties as assigned to support the Strategic Initiatives team
