Job Overview Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking a highly experienced General Superintendent for a full-time opportunity overseeing industrial construction field operations. This is a senior field leadership position responsible for forecasting workforce needs, dispatching skilled labor, coordinating equipment and tools, and ensuring active jobsites are properly staffed and supported. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction leadership experience across multiple trades and be comfortable supervising Foremen and Project Superintendents while providing guidance on complex field operations, safety requirements, critical lifts, rigging, and workforce development. Responsibilities Develop and provide weekly manpower and staffing forecasts to senior management Ensure active jobsites are effectively and efficiently staffed with qualified skilled labor Coordinate the dispatch of manpower, equipment, tools, and other field resources Directly supervise Foremen and Project Superintendents Identify and address professional development opportunities for Foremen Identify and address professional development opportunities for Project Superintendents Work with field leadership to evaluate employee performance and development needs Provide guidance and support for complex field operations Assist with planning and oversight of critical lifts, permits, and other specialized jobsite activities Provide additional NCCCO rigging training when required Assist Human Resources with interviewing and selecting field employees as needed Help ensure field crews have the appropriate equipment and tools available to successfully complete assigned scopes of work Support safe and efficient operations across multiple active construction projects Requirements High school diploma or GED At least 7 years of related construction oversight experience and/or training Extensive experience managing industrial or commercial construction field operations Strong working knowledge across multiple trades including millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, civil construction, rigging, piping, plumbing, and HVAC Previous experience supervising Foremen, Superintendents, or other construction leadership personnel Strong experience forecasting manpower and coordinating workforce needs across multiple projects Ability to coordinate equipment, tools, materials, and field resources Strong understanding of rigging and critical lift operations NCCCO rigging knowledge and/or training experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound field decisions and respond effectively to changing project needs Must be comfortable working in industrial construction environments including around moving equipment, outdoor weather conditions, elevated areas, heat, fumes, vibration, and other jobsite conditions Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction leader who understands how to manage manpower, develop field leadership, coordinate resources, and keep multiple jobsites operating safely and efficiently.
