Job Description
Senior Site Administrator for Career Institutes (226 Days) -(26000443) Description Oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Career Institute campus administration. Coordinate with the Strategic Initiatives, CTE Department, Teaching and Learning, and School Leadership to support the expansion of the Career Institute initiative, including securing resources to support the expansion of the Career Institute initiative. Align Career Institutes' goals with TEA-approved CTE Pathways for CTE and assist with certification and dual credit opportunities for the Career Institutes. Work with the Career and Technical Education team members on activities and projects related to the Career Institute initiative and District Improvement targets and goals. Oversee the coordination of the Career Institute coordinators, the Industry Partners, and other partners to ensure students have meaningful experiences, including internships and worksite visits. Prepare all related program budgets and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and monitor effective utilization of funding resources. Recommend qualified teachers for employment. Design, develop, and implement quality workplace-based professional development experiences for Career Institute staff. Work with the CTE department to establish effective business partners that will provide work-based learning and internship experiences for Dallas ISD students and teachers in the Career Institutes. Perform all other Senior Site Administrator tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited university required. A Texas standard Principal Certificate or Mid-Management Certificate is required. Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with endorsements for the subject and subject level assigned preferred. 5+ years of Career & Technical Education (CTE) area and administrative experience is preferred. Excellent written, verbal, external, and internal communication skills. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking skills, and budgeting. Demonstrated proficient ability to use Google Apps, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and Learning Management Systems. Demonstrated ability to function effectively with all levels of management throughout the district, including campus administration. Demonstrated ability to create and edit written communication in all forms, resulting in products that are technically precise, accurate, and readable.
