Job Description

Operations Supervisor Who we are: AXion Logistics is a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider with a focus on the petrochemical industry. We have worked to develop strong relationships with the Petrochemical Industry and the supporting Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) companies; Integrated Material Suppliers; and General Mechanical providers. AXion has proven, effective processes and technologies. We have the experience and understanding required to efficiently manage routine Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) materials, order spares, manage inbound delivery and receipt, provide preservation and maintenance services, and the dispositioning of surplus or obsolete material and equipment.
Position Purpose:
The primary objective for this Operations Supervisor position will be the management of the day-to-day operations of a multi-warehouse facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
AXion Site Operations Supervisor will: Manage customer relations with the onsite employees and management including but not limited to responding to and handling any inquiry and/or problem, communicating effectively with the customer to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions, continually seeking out opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen the client relationship. Deliver consistent and value-added services to the customer Maintaining profitable and safe operations by controlling policy deployment in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and facility performance measures and labor. Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Accountable for leadership of 20 employees in problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships. Provide a standard of training for new employees to be implemented by Operations Supervisors. Offer support and guidance to subordinates in a well-received manner. Approve all new hires and counsel employees to maintain a thriving work environment. Communicates with departments of Axion to ensure that all aspects of business run smoothly Ensure compliance with client standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and DOT regulations. Promote the use of data and metrics for identifying improvement opportunities and problem-solving activities. Translate business needs into requirements; develop and execute work plans, schedules, project estimates resource plans, and status reports.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess: BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work history/experience 5 years warehouse experience 3 years management experience 2 years Petro/Chemical Plant experience required Advanced knowledge of SAP or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Lean/ 5S/ Six Sigma preferred Proven leadership skills, the ability to drive change, reliability, and teamwork
Strong Analytical Skills:
able to manage KPI's, diagrams, tables, flow charts

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrates initiative and assertiveness Plans and manages work in an efficient manner Ability to work well under stress and time pressure
