is seeking an Operations Manager for its offices in
Jacksonville, TX Job Description:
Direct daily plant operations, including production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and procurement activities. Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to optimize workflow and ensure quality and safety compliance. Lead, coach, and supervise department managers and teams to ensure alignment with company goals and employee development. Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and quality departments to ensure seamless coordination across operations. Oversee equipment maintenance and production schedules to avoid downtime and ensure efficient resource utilization. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement strategies across operations. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other federal/state safety regulations. Maintain accurate reports related to production output, labor utilization, materials, and equipment efficiency. The position requires travel domestically and internationally up to ten (10) percent of the time. This position directly supervises the logistics and planning manager, manufacturing manager, and the manufacturing engineer. Specifically, the position requires supervision of five (5) employees: One (1) Manufacturing Engineering Manager (SOC 17-2112.03); One (1) Manufacturing Manager (SOC 51-1011.00); One (1) Logistics and Planning Manager (SOC 11-3071.04); One (1) Health and Safe Environment Manager (SOC 19-5011); and One (1) Lean and Process Engineer Manager (SOC 17-2112)) This is an onsite role. Telecommuting is not permitted.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent
  • in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in operations or manufacturing management, including supervisory responsibilities.
The required experience must include:
Five (5) years of experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Five (5) years of experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. Five (5) years of experience working with productivity metrics, inventory control, and scheduling tools. Three (3) years of experience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. Three (3) years of experience working with OSHA standards and safety compliance. Demonstrated knowledge
  • of: o Six Sigma Black Belt o Automotive Experience o Project Management o Data Driven Analysis o Global Cross Functional Leader
  • Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted.
  • Knowledge can be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience.
